The July cS Award and the June cS Award Winner! Mike | July 3rd, 2012

Last summer, we announced that we would issue a monthly cS Award to honor quality work by designers and writers in the crowdSPRING community.

July cS Award

This month is for the Writers in the community – they rock and we want to show our appreciation!

The July cS Award of $1,000 will be given to the Creative who sends the best poem to our Facebook or Twitter. No restrictions on the content or the form of the poem – it can be about anything you like and can be in the format of your choice; you can write a haiku, a couplet, a free form, an ode, a  jintishi, a tanka, a sonnet, or any other form of poetry, common or obscure. Your choice as long as you show us your stuff when it comes to rhythm, rhyme, symbolism, alliteration or metaphor!

To be eligible, you must also participate in at least 5 projects (Design or Writing) and submit at least 10 entries this month. In case of a tie, the award will go to the creative with the highest overall average Buyer score in July.

You do not need to win a project to be eligible for the July award.

Good luck to everyone and be epic!

And now…. the June cS Award Winner….

We are thrilled to announce that the June $1,000 cS award will go to SimoneFreelance!

SimoneFreelance just joined crowdSPRING this Spring and has been actively participating on the site and has already won two web design projects! This is a team of two brothers working together in graphic and web design – Cristiano and Simone are from Italy and have been working professionally for 6 years. They are wonderful Creatives and we are proud to have them in our community!

Thanks to everyone who participated in June, and congratulations to SimoneFreelance on winning the cS Award!

From many minds, the perfect design. Post your project today and let the crowd wow you!

Considering the rules posted last month: “To be eligible, you must participate in at least 5 projects and submit at least 10 entries. In case of a tie, the award will go to the creative who participated in the most projects overall in June.” and based on the creative profiles that state that : Projects participated in =  3, can you tell us how was this award awarded?

  • Simone Freelance

I guess this happens this way: if you participate in a contest, then withdraw designs, the project doesn’t appear even if you’ve entered it. So, if you participate in 8 contests and after you’ve joined, you decide to withdraw designs from 5 of them (ie. you didn’t win so you withdrew your drafts, or you don’t want them to remain visible in an open gallery contest) it says you partecipated only in 3, but you actually entered 8. It counts only the designs you leave online in an open or closed project, not the whole projects you’ve been in. Hope this may have sense.

  • Congratulazioni ragazzi, continuate così! 🙂

  • Simone Freelance

    Grazie Lorenzo!!

  • Dee

What is the absolute deadline for the July CS Award? What format do you wanted it submitted in? Is our work, poem to be viewed by the public or is it private? Please respond ASAP. Thank you.

  • Dee – please submit publicly. Easiest way is to post to our facebook page at

Deadline is 11:59 pm July 31.

  • The awarded creative participated in five projects. In two of the five, they ended up withdrawing their entries when the project was finished and we realized that in such cases, our system didn’t count that project as a participating project (we’re fixing that bug because it impacts all users). We manually check all winners to make sure they met the terms of the award.

  • Simone – absolutely right. It’s a bug and we’ll be correcting it.
