At the end of July, the crowdSPRING team went on a laborious hunt to find a Customer Service Guru.

We needed someone to attack inbound customer service requests and respond with cat-like reflexes. We wanted someone who’d work well with the rest of the company to make sure that our customers are happy campers at all times (or as much as possible) and be a great addition to our corporate culture.

Last but not least, we were hoping that person could also be an asset to our company whenever Ross abuses his Twitter powers and challenges other Chicago companies (ahem, Dawdle, Threadless) to ping pong tournaments.

300 applications later, we found Jerome Derradji. He wasn’t kidding about those cat-like reflexes either. Aside from handling our customer support requests, he runs 3 independent music labels AND is a jetsetting DJ. New Yorkers – you can actually catch Jerome on the 1’s and 2’s this Saturday at the P.S.1 Contemporary Art Center at the Museum of Modern Art. has picked Jerome’s label, Still Music, as their Label of the Month. Jerome spends his day at crowdSPRING sitting next to me, ensuring that our buyers and creatives get their questions answered and concerns addressed, all with a little French flair. Plus, he’s really, really good at ping pong. We know he’ll catch on to Rock Band and Guitar Hero soon. He’s a great addition to our team, and we’re very happy to have him be the newest member to our company!

    I guess you could consider me as one of Jerome’s first customers. I commend him for promptly responding to my requests. The crowdSPRING crew is one of the fastest in replying to customer requests but Jerome is even faster! Sorry guys, that title isn’t yours anymore. (kidding)
