crowdSPRING Community Gives Back
Ross | December 3rd
crowdSPRING is proud to announce a new effort, just in time for the holidays. Give Back is our community’s way of helping worthy non-profit and charity causes in need. Creatives in the crowdSPRING community have agreed that for these special projects, no monetary awards will be given. crowdSPRING will waive its fees and will assist the organizations with posting their project. We will collaborate together to help those less fortunate.
This idea for Give Back originated in a discussion started by Tooley in our forums. Tooley suggested that we should look for ways to help creatives learn from each other. As the community discussed Tooley’s suggestion, it became clear that we could learn and help good causes at the same time. ArtbyAudree nicely pointed out that these projects would give creatives “a chance to help and to grow.”
As in all our projects, participation will be voluntary. Give Back projects will work like standard projects, including contracts, wrap-up, notifications, etc. To help the learning process along in these projects, we will encourage creatives to collaborate and to provide constructive feedback to each other.
While Give Back projects will not have monetary awards, we will find ways to recognize creatives whose work is selected. Among other things, we will write in our blog about the project and the winning creative, the work will appear on a Hall of Fame type page that we are developing (this page will display winning designs), and we will look for ways to profile the winning creative(s) on our home page.
There’s at least one other benefit. We’re fortunate to have an amazing community of creatives - 10,000 of them, from 130+ countries. They speak hundreds of languages, cover all age groups, demographics, experience and religions. They’ve created graphic designs for companies in virtually every country of the world and in most languages spoken on the planet Earth.
We’ll ask the winning creatives in Give Back projects to propose other worthy non-profits and charities that can benefit from this effort. We hope that in this small way, we can help non-profits and charities around the world.
Our first project is for Breaking the Silence, an international network, based in the United Kingdom, supporting fathers of autistic children. You can view the project here. Please consider helping this worthy cause. You can help directly by participating in the project, or you can help by telling others about this project and the Breaking the Silence organization.
We encourage everyone to find ways to help others who are less fortunate. Thank you - from our entire community!

Awesome work guys. Can’t fault you for pushing this effort out there, hope I can spare some time to be part of it next few weeks.
Anything you need, you know where I am.

Very exciting! I continue to be amazed by the speed in which an ingenious idea tossed around in a cS forum, transforms into an actual… happening… (incredibly great) thing!
Can’t wait to take part.

I’m really excited about cS Gives Back! I agree with Sarah and am equally as amazed at the closeness of the cS staff to their community. It really sets you guys apart and makes me enjoy every minute I spend here.
