Hello From Your New Community Manager…
Angeline | July 16th
Hi everyone!
I’m Angeline, your new Community Manager. I feel very special since Ross dedicated TWO blog entries to my arrival, but I also wanted to personally introduce myself to all of you crowdSPRINGers! (crowdSPRINGians, crowdSPRINGites? You choose.)
Over the next couple of days, you’ll see me posting more in the forum and the blog, and since I know you are all savvy social networkers, please feel free to add me as a friend on Twitter and Facebook!
I guess I will pull the whole “Single White Female who likes long walks on the beach” intro, so here goes…
To paraphrase one of Pete’s (our Director of Marketing) friends, I am “one sassy, cupcake lovin’ broad.” I just moved to Chicago from sunny Hollywood, where I dabbled in many different aspects of the Music Industry - most of which encompassed online marketing, social networking, and all the fun, geeky stuff I love to embrace. I’ve done everything from run online and grassroots street teams, manage a music web site, work for a record label, be an assistant to a producer, and manage bands.
Being at crowdSPRING rocks. I work with brilliant, like-minded individuals who are all passionate about what we do. We work super hard, but we also know the value of fun. We eat lunch together, go to concerts together, challenge other local companies to ping pong tournaments, and anxiously await our Wii so we can play Rock Band. What more can you ask for in a company?
In general, I just love creating and helping others who love to create as well. I am currently taking Graphic Design courses online via UCLA Extension, and I learn a lot from all the great submissions I see on crowdSPRING.
I can’t wait to hear from all of you and cultivate an amazing community of creatives who really push each other to kick more and more ass.
Feel free to PM me in the forums and say hello..It gets kinda lonely in my corner of the office!
Word.
Angeline

Welcome Angeline!
Welcome, Angeline! I was just reading an article in ReadWriteWeb (http://www.readwriteweb.com/archives/hiring_a_community_manager.php) about community managers for startups and saw that Pete was quoted in that article. It’s really great that crowdSPRING is making such strong efforts to build its community - and hiring a person dedicated to that role sets a real example for other companies. And super happy to see you all have a great sense of humor! We are all looking forward to seeing more from you in in the Blog and on the Forums.
Thanks for the friendly welcome guys! Looking forward to getting to know everyone at our lovely place on the internet..
